UX Case study

The brief

At Totalplay, I was entrusted with a project where there was an opportunity to enhance the marketplace experience. We decided to give users the option to purchase products in installments and designed a seamless interaction that allowed them to complete payments in a clear and intuitive way. This feature was carefully crafted to ensure that even first-time users could navigate it effortlessly, providing both flexibility and confidence in their shopping experience.

Process

During this project, I collaborated closely with Product Owners, Marketing, and Developers. It was established that the installment payment option should be integrated into a seamless and intuitive flow within the marketplace purchase process.

Additionally, I designed a comprehensive user flow that accounted for all possible scenarios, including edge cases and errors, such as when a user was not eligible for credit. This approach ensured a consistent and user-friendly experience throughout the entire payment process.

Ux Writing

In the realm of UX writing, I was responsible for crafting various microcopies, ensuring they were clear, concise, and to the point. Each message served a specific purpose; for example, when a user was not eligible for credit, a notification would clearly explain that they either did not qualify or that their credit limit was insufficient for the purchase. This approach helped maintain transparency and guided users through the process with confidence.

I also collaborated closely with designers and developers to ensure that the tone and messaging aligned with the overall user experience. Every word was carefully considered to minimize confusion and reduce friction during the payment process.
